Each user gets their own profiles, expenses, budgets and categories. Admins can add and remove users.

This is a convenience lock, not real security. Everything lives in this browser, so anyone with access to this device and a little know-how can read the data directly regardless of who is signed in. Passwords are stored as salted SHA-256 hashes, never as plain text — but treat this as “keeps honest people out”, not as protection for sensitive data. For real per-user security you need a server; see the D1 + Workers notes in the README.

Read this. Everything lives in this browser. Clearing site data, private windows, or “free up space” tools will wipe it. Export regularly.
